Honey Bomb on your skin! - Banobagi's Vital Royal Manuka Honey Mask - M Review 35
Hello, M-Friends, it's been a while! The temperature in New York has definitely dropped, recently! AAAND I got dry patches again:/ It's not a surprise, though lol. Among the new mask sheets that arrived at our shop, Banobagi's Vita Royal Manuka Honey Mask caught my eye with its interesting design; honey comb in a honey-dripping capsule.
Cute! Right? On the back of the package, it says, "30% of the Manuka Honey Complex forms a protection layer that softens dry skin, and the Baobab tree pulp extract firms the skin." 30%? That is A LOT.
In the orange box, there is a description of what 'Manuka Honey Complex' is. It is using Manuka honey, propolis, and royal jelly to form a hydration layer on the skin. If you read under the ingredients list, you can see that this mask has quite a lot of impressive ingredients. Agave americana stem extract, Honey extract, Cacao extract, Hollyhock extract, Propolis extract, Royal jelly extract and many more.
You guys already know that I have sensitive and dry skin. But are you seeing this? The dry patches on my cheek! These dry patches are such a pain in the butt, especially when I'm applying makeup. To share a little tip for better absorption, I gently expfoliate my skin with a scrub gel when I want to use sheetmasks, having dry patches. But when I do exfoilate my skin (which is only once in a while), I always make sure to use some kind of mask, for extra hydration.
When you take out the mask, you can instantly smell the pleasant honey scent. Mmm~ The mask is kind of yellowish, and I guess it's because of the honey theme of the mask.
The mask adheres perfectly to the skin, thus my skin was able to absorb most the essence drenched in the mask. After 20minutes of chilling on my bed, I removed the mask.
Final Thoughts
I was very satisfied with the result! On top of the extreme hydration, my skin felt very firm and healthy, even till the next morning. Also, I noticed slight brightening effect, so I went back and checked the description of the mask. DUH! It says "Anti Wrinkle and Whitening" in the front of the packaging lol. It was Monday when I tried the mask, and that's usually when I look the most dull out of the whole week. In summary, this mask seems suitable for dry skin or combination skin in need of extra hydration boost for the dry weather. I would not recommend this for oily skin though!
