Innisfree Olive Real Serum - M Review 79
I'm always on the lookout for products that are super moisturizing while incorporating natural ingredients, and the Innisfree Olive line seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I loved the Innisfree Olive Real Essential Oil, so the Innisfree Olive Real Serum seemed like the logical next product to try.
I love products with olive oil, but I recognize that not everyone may feel the same way. Olive oil products generally have a slightly thicker (but not necessarily more oily feeling) texture, which is amazing for dry or dehydrated skin. The Innisfree Olive Real Serum is no exception, with a delightfully creamy and rich texture. In fact, for a serum, it is quite thick, almost a light lotion or emulsion consistency. I found that I really couldn't layer too many products on top of the Innisfree Olive Serum, so I generally used it after all my toners and serums, and just before my night cream.
I love the inclusion of organic olive oil from Crete. Olive oil has natural polyphenols and antioxidants that can protect your skin from oxidative stress (a.k.a. aging) in addition to moisturizing and softening the skin. It also contains squalane and mango and shea butters. As you can imagine, this makes for a very rich and nourishing serum! If you have oily skin, you may want to skip this one, as it does form a moisturizing, protective film on your skin and may be too much for your skin. I found that it left a slightly tacky finish, but this went away as soon as I applied my cream on top. The light, citrusy fragrance was pleasant and not overpowering.
The richness of the Innisfree Olive Serum showed itself in an extra glow and softness when I washed my face the next day. I could tell that it really prevented my skin from becoming dehydrated overnight. Overall, I would highly recommend this for dry and dehydrated skin, but probably not for oily skin. Combination skin types might enjoy this if they lean towards getting dehydrated, but might find it too heavy on the T-zone. I personally have combination skin and I enjoyed it very much, using it mostly at night and not during the day.
Thank you Masksheets for generously providing this product to try!
